"Thank you so much for your warm hospitality during our stay in your beautiful home!!  We can’t tell you enough what a wonderful time we had here….. Our room was gorgeous and we truly appreciated the craftsmanship – the bed was so comfy and we only could have stayed here so much longer!!! Sharon, your breakfast was superb and kept us full well into the afternoon.  Thank you for recommending Friends Lake Inn for dinner – simply fabulous!!!  Sitting by the fireplace with the music in the back yard was part of our early evening rituals and so enjoyable!  I thought I would clobber Eddie at pool. But he kept it a secret how good he can play and well he clobbered me!!  Ha, ha.  Keep up the great work and keep smiling!!  We will be back again!!!"

"Serenity knows a name, the Fern Lodge, nestled at the edge of Friend’s Lake.  The Lake becomes your friend the moment you see it, and then turns into a lover as the full moon glides into view above the distant rolling blue hills. Pink and orange shadows dance across the water as the sun sets, trading off to the glimmer o the moon’s reflection.  Our friends will be married at 2pm today, and this is the beginning everyone wishes for their dear ones.  Such generosity, hospitality, and peace shine from this very special place.  Thank you so much for sharing your home with us."

"We stayed here for two nights, the room and view outside is gorgeous.  The bed is really comfortable, I was surprised at how soft the sheets are.  The towels and robes are extremely soft.  The room and bathroom was really clean and I love the detail.  So far my favorite place to stay at.  The breakfast is really good and there’s games to keep you busy throughout the day.  The walls are thick so you cannot hear others.  We are definitely going to come back soon! "After 14 years together, my husband finally managed to surprise me into speechlessness.  About a year ago, I showed him pictures of this place as a dream destination for a getaway (which we so badly need with a toddler at home).  When he told me we were going somewhere for my 40th birthday, I was completely stunned to learn it was The Fern Lodge on the way here.  The amazing thing was that he just picked it and didn’t even remember me showing him!  And what an amazing getaway it was.  Nothing short of absolute perfect.  The basement is an embodiment of our dreams of what we’d create for ourselves.  Just knowing that this place exists in the world and that we were lucky enough to stay here in Birch (which was my favorite room and he unknowingly chose that too) is incredible.  We will be back and hope to share this dreamy place for years to come.  Thank you!  P.S.  Wendy & staff and their attention to details and dietary preferences makes this place top tier.  Perfection."

"We visited the Fern Lodge one short year ago on our honeymoon and enjoyed every moment of our stay – from Sharon and Greg’s warm hospitality to the delicious breakfast, stunning décor and comfortable room.  While we enjoyed our stay “the Forest” was being built and we both agreed that we couldn’t wait to come back when it was finished for our one year marriage anniversary!  … We were blown away!  This room is spectacular.  Very classy, cozy and beautifully made.  Again, we loved the breakfast and hospitality but this time with the additions of an awesome shower, unbelievably comfortable bed, warm fireplace and aesthetically pleasing décor.   Thank you so much!  We will be back next year!"

"We’re married!  We had a wonderful wedding here on 2/2 that exceeded all our expectations.  Wendy ha been an amazing host and we have enjoyed the quiet and solitude of this wonderful place.  The food has been amazing and the s’mores were delicious.  :) The hot tub under the stars is a must.  If you’re lucky enough to get snow, that’s an additional bonus.  We’re not getting married again, but we’ll be certain to renew our vows here.  We hope you enjoy this place as much as we did."
